Book Your Travel

  • Step 1. Book Your Flight

When should I book my flight?
Flight options are already available for May 2023. We recommend booking your flight as far in advance as possible to find roundtrip deals under $600.

    Flight Requirements
There are no vaccine requirements to enter or exit Italy. You will need a passport that is valid (will not expire) for at least three months beyond the period of stay. Italy mandates this.

    When should I arrive?
Our wedding is on Monday, May 29th (Memorial Day), and our Welcome Dinner is on Sunday, May 28th. Arriving in Rome or Florence airports no later than Saturday, May 27th would allow enough time to travel to Cortona in time for the Welcome Dinner. You may choose to arrive earlier and explore Rome, Florence, Tuscany, etc.

    When should I depart?
You can leave Italy anytime after our wedding on Monday, May 29th.

When will Brooke and Nick arrive and depart?
We will arrive in Rome on May 22nd and travel to Cortona on May 25th. On May 31st, we plan to leave Cortona to travel to the seaside.

Which Airport should I fly into?
There are two main airports you can fly into. Flights to Rome from the USA are typically cheaper than to Florence.

    1. Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO)
🚗 2 hr 30 min to Cortona by car
🚅 2 hr 30 min to Cortona by train

    2. Florence Airport (FLR)
🚗 1 hr 20 min to Cortona by car
🚅 1 hr 32 min to Cortona by train

  • Step 2. Book Accomodations

When should I book my accommodations?
Accommodations are already available for May 2023. You should aim to book yours by February 2022.

Where should I book my stay?

For those wishing to stay at a hotel, we recommend staying at Villa Marsili, which is just 6 minutes from our venue, or Relais La Corte Dei Papi, which is the actual wedding venue. There will be a shuttle service to take you to and from the wedding if you stay at Villa Marsili.

    Villa Marsili
    Website: villamarsili.net/en/
Address: Via C. Battisti, 13, 52044 Cortona (AR)
Set on a hill with stunning views over the countryside, this hotel is a traditional Tuscan villa. A breakfast buffet is available. Other amenities include a terrace, bar, beautiful gardens, and on-site parking.

    Relais La Corte Dei Papi
    Website: lacortedeipapi.com
Address: Via La Dogana, 12, 52044 Cortona (AR)
In an 18th-century restored country house with an annex, this charming hotel has opulent rooms with antique furnishings. Breakfast and parking are included. Other amenities include a delicious onsite restaurant, terrace, outdoor pool, and gym.

Another great option is booking an AirBnB or Vrbo with your traveling group. There’s an abundance of cost-effective options within close distance to our wedding venue. If you are staying within ~10 minutes of the wedding venue or Villa Marsili, please text Brooke at 317-270-3730 to be added to the shuttle’s route for transportation to/from the wedding.
