What do I wear to the wedding?
The wedding will be a black-tie event. The classic choice for women is a floor-length gown and for men a tuxedo, dinner jacket, or dark suit. Black-tie does not mean you have to wear black! Wear what you feel fabulous in, except we kindly request you not to wear whites, creams, or pale colors that may photograph white. For more information on black-tie attire, there are many online resources like this one.
What do I wear to the welcome dinner?
The welcome dinner will be semi-formal.
Is there a wedding hashtag?
The wedding hashtag is #TyingDonato.
When will the bride and groom be in Italy?
Brooke and Nick will arrive in Rome on May 24th and stay in Cortona from 25-31st. After which, they will continue on their honeymoon. If you’re arriving in Italy early or staying late and would like to meet up, contact us!
Where is the honeymoon?
The honeymoon will be a three-week adventure in the Mediterranean, starting in Italy. The current route is Portofino, Lake Como, and Greece. If you will continue your travels to any of these areas, let us know - we would love to meet up!
If I’m traveling by train, what is Cortona’s train station’s address?
Terontola Cortona. 52044 Terontola, Province of Arezzo, Italy
Why Italy?
If the name Nicholas Anthony Donato didn’t tip you off, Nick has Italian heritage. Actually, he is 1/2 Italian from his father’s side and 1/4th Polish from his mother’s. Brooke and Nick took their first trip to Italy in 2017 and fell in love with the culture, food, and beautiful sights. They are at their happiest driving around the Italian countryside with the windows down, finding tucked-away cafes for aperativos, and shopping at local markets to whip up home-cooked dinners. We can’t wait to share this part of ourselves with you.
